This PlanetLab tutorial introduces briefly how the testbed works internally and what MyPLC stands for. An overview of all the backend infrastructure necessary for its day-by-day operation. In a second moment, a practical course on how to create and administrate users, slices takes place. Finally, the tutorial approaches subjects beyond PlanetLab Europe testbed, introducing the SFA the solution, which is proposed by the OneLab Experimental Facility for federating testbeds.

PlanetLab is a global research network that supports the development of new network services. Since the beginning of 2003, more than 1,000 researchers at top academic institutions and industrial research labs have used PlanetLab to develop new technologies for distributed storage, network mapping, peer-to-peer systems, distributed hash tables, and query processing.
PlanetLab currently consists of 1133 nodes at 515 sites.

Biography
Marco Bicudo was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2003, he received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil. In 2005, he received the M.Sc. degree also in Electrical Engineering at COPPE/UFRJ, advised by Prof. Otto C. M. B. Duarte and started working as system analyst in Globo.com, the internet and network branch of Organizacoes Globo the bigest Printed and Electronic Media Company in Latin America. In 2006 he was promoted to make part on the Engineering and development team, where he did some research on new technology projects. He quit Globo.com in June 2008 to be a research engineer in LIP6, where he worked in ANA, and, in the present, he is the Operations Chief engineer of PlanetLab Europe.
